Conversations on AI and the Future of Teaching
How should educators respond to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence? The Teaching for Learning Center’s AI Literacy Podcast features engaging conversations with faculty and experts about practical uses of AI, emerging challenges, and what it means for teaching at Mizzou and beyond.
Featuring two seasons of episodes, the podcast is a resource for instructors who want to stay informed about AI in higher education. 
Show-Me AI
Invitations are open to faculty, instructors and students interested in helping test the new tool’s capabilities.
Show-Me AI uses premium versions of several large language models to aid pilot users with course development and guidance for coursework completion.
Teaching support and efficiency:
- Streamline course content development and lesson planning.
- Draft emails, posts or other messages for class communication.
- Create custom AI assistants that can locate course documents for students, answer course content questions, offer assignment feedback, provide practice test questions, facilitate role-playing scenarios and more.
Learning assistance and enhancement:
- Gain real-world experience using generative AI.
- Draft emails, posts or other messages.
- Receive personalized course assistance through a custom AI assistant that’s always available.

The Second Annual AI Showcase Event Hosted by the Mizzou Professional Development Council March 12, 2026, from 12:15-4pm, in Ellis Library. This year’s event, Preparing Students & Ourselves for AI in the New Workplace, is focused on strengthening dialogue between faculty, staff, industry partners, and alumni about preparing students for an AI driven workplace.
